So one day I was chatting with Ingrid on AIM and I said hey, I've been thinking about trying my hand at some animated GIFs, never done that before, maybe I ought to do some of Erik and Ray. And then I thought no more of it for a while, until I was poking around in my Applications folder and discovered, much to my general amazement, that I own a copy of ImageReady. Well, hey!

So first I drew and animated Ray, because Ray always comes first:

Nice, simple, pretty darned Ray, really. It took me about two hours from start to finish, because I went for really simple, thick, easy-to-animate lines.

And where there's Ray, there generally has to be Erik, much to Erik's general dismay and/or horror:

Much more complicated, with thinner lines, and his nose and lips shift about a little, which is very disconcerting.

I promptly dumped these on Ingrid and said HERE, ICONS. And lo, they were.
