...
...you know what, normally I'd have something to say here.
I...
...oh, never mind.
Geddoe being seriously macked upon by the Flame Champion, fifty years
ago. What can I say? I [heart] Geddoe,
and I just couldn't resist the urge to get him into a little trouble.
I spent so much damn time fussing with the linework that I really don't
have any major complaints about it. There
could have been more folds in the fabric, but the amount of detail
already in place would have made that look somewhat
cluttery. I'm really pleased with Geddoe's boots (of all things) and
the complicated pose. And look! Look! An
honest-to-gosh background! A real one! That's sure as hell new.
Actually, I drew the background first, and then drew the figures in
the proper places on top of it. An insanely simple
idea, something that I should have been doing from the very beginning,
and yet I never thought of doing it that way before.
I am a dumbass.
The coloring... well, the shadows could be deeper, but other than that,
man. No complaints. Geez, I'm a little in awe of
how well this turned out. (Will I still like it in six months? Who
knows? But geesh.)
Done entirely in Painter, start to finish. Linework is 2B Pencil tool, most color is Watercolor, fire and flame effects Chalk.
