Sydney, in the process of giving his arms to his goddess.
What is it about Sydney that makes me want to abuse him? Honestly, I
keep drawing him in awful pain. And half-naked. Well,
that's not my fault. But in this one he's ALL naked. I guess the guy
brings out the worst in me... anyway.
I do like this sketch. I think I got the anatomy more or less right,
and I made Sydney reasonably skinny; I have this real
tendency to draw people looking stocky, so I'm glad of that. Those
claws are SO much fun to draw, too. I had fun with
them. And hey, he's got an actual facial expression! He looks a little
more agonized in the original sketch, but that's
inking for you. Whee. And the picture is so WIDE! I was originally
going to draw his entire body, but that would have
been HUGE... plus I'd have had to dress him in something. Heh. But
there really wasn't any way to do this picture
except with arms thrown wide... anyway, I'm sorry to all you people
who are at 800x600 (like me).
I like those little glowing blue skeletal hands. They were fun to color.
^_^
Kind of a basic no-frills Photoshop CG here... I didn't really do much
that was innovative in it. I've even used the glowing effect before.
And boy oh boy, is that a lazy-ass background or what? It beats my
original idea, which was a field of black... but only
barely. I SUCK at backgrounds. I barely every bother to do them. I
should start. =/
Here's the pencil sketch I was working from.
There is also an uncensored version of this picture and the related
sketches in the!!!
Gallery. Essentially, it's two inches
longer than this one.
When I was drawing the original sketch, I got down to his hips, and
didn't feel like leaving a 'blank spot'. So I went ahead
and drew everything that would have been there. Please note that that
DOES mean male frontal nudity, so if you don't want to see
that, don't click on the link above.
