A 'movie poster' for my immense AU shounen-ai Vagrant Story pseudo-screenplay
fanfic, Go
Wyverns.
It's called 'Friday' because they're wearing their Friday outfits from
the fic. Eheh.
For the record, this is what the billing box says, in case you can't
read it:

Writing that fic pretty much destroyed my mind, let me tell you. But
after all the hell I put myself through to
write it, I didn't want to just put it up normally... I thought it
deserved something a bit more special. And since
it was a 'screenplay', I thought... I'll make a movie poster!
The sketch really sucked hard at first, but it eventually developed
into something much better. I still have some
issues with Sydney's chest and left arm, but... uh... other than that
there's not too much that honks me off about
this pic. I was having a Good Hands Day. Look at Sydney's right hand.
Wow.
The yardstick, the little green notebook, and the backpacks are all
items of some importance in the fic; if you look
really, really closely at Sydney's left wrist, you'll notice it's white.
That's a wrist brace. Wow, continuity.
Might I just add that I suck at inking. SUCK. Still, for a miracle,
I didn't screw it up that badly, and I was able
to repair the damage in Photoshop.
Coloring this was a blast... I like the textures that I managed to get
on their clothes. Especially Sydney's jeans.
I wish Sydney's hair had come out as well as Ashley's did... oh, well.
The blue backpack looks kind of bad, though...
and the shading on Sydney's turtleneck is a bit weird. Ashley just
came out better ALL around, I think.
Here's the smaller
version of the poster, which I made to put on the fic intro page. You
can't read the text at
all, but you can also probably look at the entire picture without having
to scroll around.
And here's the pencil sketch. Nothing really changed much.
