Lost Angel
(Sydney Losstarot, Vagrant Story)

Sydney Losstarot, not dead.

Good GRACIOUS. This picture came out beyond my wildest dreams.  I just kept sketching, and sketching, and going over the lines,
retracing, adding details, messing with things, and then I looked at it and screamed 'HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO INK THIS?!'
Finally, I just decided not to. I thought I'd just CG over the sketch, and leave it all ragged-looking. I thought, 'Why not? Lex colors her
sketches, and they look great... maybe I can do this!'
Of course, I was forgetting some things.
1. I am not Lex.
2. Even if I WAS Lex, I'd be some sort of ersatz American Lex without a Wacom tablet.

This picture is proof positive that I spend too much time at... certain web sites.
All that aside, however, I'm still EXTREMELY pleased with the final result. It was shoulder-breaking to CG with a mouse, and the image
size exploded to 77megs BEFORE shading... but wow, it was worth it. I've never done anything this good before. (Poor Sydney.)
I like the sketchy look that I kept, I like the subdued color scheme, I like the amount of detail I got in the picture for ONCE.
Some of you may notice that the picture size is, in fact, 800x600 exactly. I thought I might use this for my desktop.
If anyone wants to use this on their desktop, hey, go right ahead, that's most cool... just don't put it on the web anywhere.

Here's the black and white version... mostly the same, although I did mess with his hair a bit.
