Razputin either does not approve of Sasha's cigarette, or he's trying to bum a smoke in the most direct way possible. Judiciously age-forwarded about eight years or so, because I wanted to draw Razputin as an adult, and also reinterpreted in something closer to my own style, because the Psychonauts art style, while cool as whoa, is hard for me to replicate. In some of the Psychonauts concept art Sasha is drawn holding his lit cigarette with his TK, and of course, I thought this was the best thing ever. So he got a cigarette, and then Raz decided to steal it. Probably just to mess with Sasha, but who knows. This was done on a dare, and meant to be quick and cartoony. Then it had the temerity to come out well, so I had no choice but to slap on some colors and finish it up. I'm especially pleased with their faces and Sasha's hands. Those are some awesome cartoony faces. Even the coloring on the faces came out well! However, Sasha's stance is a little awkward, and it's twisted awkwardly below the cross of his arms. Raz's crossed arms should really jut out into space more than they do. As it is, his arms look like they're a bit 2D. Also, the coloring (except on their faces) is way cheap and kinda looks it. Finally, some of the details of Sasha's suit are wrong, but I blame the darkness of the screenshots I was working from for that. Oh heavens no it's not my fault. |
