Anyway. You know how there's that whole Marvel manga ripoff thing going on? Well, why can't DC do it too? Hell, they can even rip off a different style of manga: shoujo! Because I totally need that kind of homoerotic subtext in my spandex... wait. Okay, I totally need that kind of emotional subtext in my spandex. ...aah, hell, what I really need is to viciously mock the whole shoujo aesthetic and take a swipe at Young Justice while I'm at it. Therefore, ta da!

Bart turned out the best, I think. Also the girliest. However, I'm quite pleased with Kon's pose, and Tim's got that neat bat-shadow aura thing going. Also, this picture gave me some scope to prove what a clever bastard I think I am, what with changing the Superlogo on Kon's shirt to contain the katakana 'su' and giving Tim that !ofuda that's got half his Robin mask on it. (A friend of mine called it a 'fauxfuda'. I giggled my stupid face off.)

I actually learned a fair bit by doing this picture, even though it was basically a joke. I experimented with several Painter tools that I hadn't really played with before and had more Fun with posing and foreshortening. Also, I'd never really worked with solid fields of black that much, and I enjoyed messing around with the white lines. Inverse demarcation! Or something.
