'Young Master' McDohl from the first Suikoden game. I named him Rion.
Boring pic, really. I didn't think it was worth a background, even one
of those crappy half-assed background things I
usually do. This looked much MUCH better as a
pencil sketch than it did inked, and looked better inked than it
does colored. Those hands used to look cool, for crying out loud.
I like his face. I rather like his hair. I used to like his hands, but
they look worse after inking and coloring. The pose
is kind of dull, and I think the staff is a bit too thin (although
it's about the right size, real-world, it's too thin for
an RPG character). I like the decoration on the head of the staff,
though.
Color-wise? I really like the red vest. I just kept slopping layers
of paint on, and it eventually turned out looking
fabric-y. The hair was an experiment with Painter pencils mixed with
Painter watercolors... I kind of like that
too. Gloves look AWFUL. Skin looks fine.
