Ficbit Challenge 2, Number 10: Suikoden 3, Geddoe/Sasarai

Afterwards he wasn't aware of anything for several minutes, and by the time he'd managed to blink his eye back into focus and find all his fingers again there was a sheet thrown across his lower half and Sasarai was perched naked on the edge of the bed, smoking one of his stupid trendy cigarettes and watching the screensaver on his laptop pulse and dance.

Geddoe grunted and reached up to rub his face, and Sasarai turned around at the sound, ceremoniously plunking an ice-cold can of beer on Geddoe's bare chest. "Careful, it's open," Sasarai said, and he laughed, and went back to his cigarette.

Geddoe shoved himself more or less upright, stuffing pillows under his back until the pile deigned to hold him, and drained off half the can with a convulsive gulp. An orange ember danced in front of his eye as he let the can fall back onto his stomach, and he blinked for a moment before he realized that Sasarai was offering him the lit cigarette. Geddoe snorted out a laugh and took it, stealing a deep drag and not minding too much that the smoke tasted like chocolate and mint.

"So I take it you approve, Captain!" Sasarai said, standing up and stretching his arms over his head, his reclaimed cigarette drawing an orange arc through the air to almost brush against the ceiling.

Instead of answering that, Geddoe said, "I hate your cigarettes."

"Of course you do!" Sasarai turned around and studied Geddoe with what seemed like genuine curiosity. It startled Geddoe to note that Sasarai was still hard--but, of course, why wouldn't he be? Sasarai took another long drag on his cigarette and took great joy in blowing the smoke in Geddoe's direction before he noticed where Geddoe was looking. "Oh, that," he said, sounding petulant. "Don't worry about it. It'll go away soon enough."

"... go away, huh."

"I said don't worry about it," Sasarai said, lightly. "Really, it's not like it bothers me."

"Fine." Geddoe sat up, crossing his legs under the sheet and resting his beer on his knee. "Got anything to eat around here?" Sasarai started to answer him and Geddoe cut him off. "That isn't sugary?"

"... no." Still naked, Sasarai prowled around the room, absently touching things. The screensaver on his laptop clicked off, bathing him and the room alike in harsh white light, and he checked his download. The tiny screen on his phone clicked on, and he checked his voice mail. The larger screen on his palmtop clicked on, and he scribbled a couple of arcane words on it before clicking it back off.

Geddoe watched all this, torn somewhere between amusement and irritation. "You could put some clothes on," he noted, lifting one hand to shield his eyes from the laptop glare.

"Why? I'm not cold." Sasarai's voice was mildly petulant, but Geddoe could hear the amusement under that. It only made him scowl.

Geddoe finished off his beer and sat back against the pillows, watching Sasarai prowl and poke. Reflectively, he said, "You don't eat anything that isn't sugary..."

"Or salty." Sasarai's smirk, in the mirror over the dresser, was positively evil. "I like salty stuff too. And soda."

"... fine. You smoke those awful things..."

"I like them!"

"... you wander around like that--" Geddoe waved his free hand in Sasarai's generally-naked-and-hard direction. "--do you bother to take care of your body at all?"

"Why should I?" And Sasarai stretched again, rising up onto his toes, the soft inward curve of his belly pulling taut, his mirror image doing the same. "It's not mine."
