| (SCENE: A quiet midsummer's day. ASHLEY RIOT and CALLO MERLOSE stand
before the entrance to the forgotten, forbidden city of Lea Monde. Off
in the distance looms the island city, stark and forboding; the cries of
men and monsters rise from the depths of the darkness. The entrance to
the caverns looms like a gaping maw at their feet; below is nothing but
darkness. The reek of stale air and the stealthy shuffling of predators
rises from below.)
ASHLEY: ... CALLO: ... ASHLEY: Screw this. I quit. I'm going home. CALLO: What? ASHLEY: I said, I'm going home. I resign. I have fired myself. I may be grieving but I'm not STUPID. (ASHLEY leaves. After a moment, so does CALLO.) (CURTAIN.)
