Biography: 'Jeremy Archer' isn't his real name. No one seems to know what his real name is. Because of that, his childhood is a mystery. The earliest record of him dates from when he was eighteen or so and first starting to make a name for himself.
Thanks to a number of very good false identities, he's generally able to live and travel in safety despite being wanted on almost every continent. (He's reasonably ingenious, but even Jeremy Archer hasn't yet figured out how to break the laws in Antarctica.) He has no permanent address; he lives in upscale hotels, constantly on the move.
While he makes a tidy fortune from his activities, a fair amount of that money goes toward keeping him in the style to which he has become accustomed: he flies first class (or in chartered jets), spends lavishly on his clothing, and generally keeps up a very convincing front as a wealthy English socialite. ...in fact, he keeps up a very convincing front as about four wealthy English socialites, but never mind that.

Trivia: While Jeremy makes a show of both smoking and drinking, careful observation reveals that he actually does very little of either. His (very expensive English) cigarettes often burn all the way down before he's taken more than a mouthful or two of the smoke--he doesn't inhale at all.

Author's note: Jeremy's name is a mild homage to the English ex-politician and writer, Jeffrey Archer, who would doubtless be entirely displeased with this news.
