Jeremy and Simon, now in full living color! I'd never actually sat down and drawn these guys in full color before, and I wanted to have a color reference sheet handy in case I ever thought of doing it again. It was originally just going to be a couple of quick and dirty headshots. (The larger version of the picture actually still contains the rows of color dots for skin, hair, and eyes.) However, given how much time I've spent thinking about these two, I can't say I was just utterly surprised when some sort of (vaguely dirty) meaning evolved out of the quick sketch. Jeremy and Simon operate on different sides of the law (for the most part) and yet manage to maintain a semblance of a functional booty call I MEAN RELATIONSHIP. The hand gestures sum up their somewhat-stormy relationship nicely: "Hey, fuck you." "Okay." |
