This was an experiment in quicksketching. Normally when I sit down to draw I end up obsessing over every little detail and going over the lines over and over and over again, in the process killing any nominal charm or flair that the sketch might have originally possessed. So I drew this image as quickly as possible, concentrating on just getting the damned thing out rather than fussing over the mistakes. That would explain why the musculature in their arms is so horrid. Some day, I'll figure out the anatomy of the arm. Some day, dammit. However, all in all, I like it. Maybe I'm starting to get the hang of drawing my own characters. What a thought. Their faces came out well--startlingly close to on-model--and hey, there's a (lame) joke! And Jeremy stole Simon's car keys! Or something, I don't know. |
